You Don't Need 5 Piercings to Copy Dua Lipa's Wedding Ear Stack

Her Sicilian wedding ear had three placements climbing the lobe. Yours can have one. Here's the workaround brides are using eight weeks out.

The ear stack is the bridal jewellery trend of the next two wedding seasons, and there's an obvious problem with it. Most of the ears in the reference images have four or five piercings, and most of the women saving those images have one or two. Piercings take months to settle. A fresh helix can be angry for half a year. Nobody planning a wedding wants to gamble on a swollen ear in the photographs.

"Nobody should be getting pierced six weeks before their wedding. Copy the order, and the holes stop mattering."

Which is where the Sicily ear becomes useful. Look past how many holes are in it and what you're left with is an arrangement, and an arrangement is free to copy. A bright oval stud at the lobe. A slim huggie directly above. A climbing piece higher up, with one pear-cut stone floating beside it. Biggest shape at the bottom, everything in one family, the top closed off.

Three placements, climbing the lobe. The order they sit in is what you're copying.

Illusion earrings do the work. One post through one piercing, with the piece engineered to read as two or three separate earrings climbing the ear. Pierceless cuffs handle the top of the stack without a needle at all. Between them, a single first-lobe piercing can carry a full three-placement stack.

The three-part rule
01
Anchor

Biggest shape at the lobe. This is the hero and everything else supports it.

02
Family

Work upward keeping every piece in the same family, following the shape of the ear.

03
Finish

Close the top with a cuff or high piercing so the stack resolves instead of trailing off.

One hero, one family, one closing piece. Three decisions, in that order.

Anchor, family, finish. Nothing on this page requires a piercing you don't already have.
