What Jewellery to Wear to Every Wedding This Summer, According to Dua Lipa

There's a particular problem with being a wedding guest four times in one season. The dress rotates, the shoes rotate, and the jewellery quietly doesn't, because most people own one pair of good earrings and wear them to everything. An ear stack solves it in a way a single pair never can. Change one placement and the whole ear reads differently. Same pieces, four ears, and the only person tracking it is you.

The reference point this year is the ear worn at Villa Valguarnera in June. Three placements climbing the lobe, tonal, refined, barely styled at all. It read as hers before it read as bridal, which is why it translates so easily off the aisle: it holds under an up-do, it reads from the side, and it never competes with a dress.

The one rule worth keeping is the one brides use too. Anchor, family, finish. Biggest shape at the lobe, everything above it in the same family, and something closing off the top — a stack that stops in the middle just looks unfinished. Where a guest ear differs is permission. Asymmetry is entirely yours to take: a statement on one side, something quiet climbing the other. And you can wear the cuff alone to a second wedding without anyone connecting the two.
